Cheeseburger Award

   Last weekend 24 of our middle school boys went to Guangzhou to play in the AISG Basketball Mini-Tournament with mixed results. The blue squad won all four matches with ease, but the yellow squad struggled and was unable to pull out a win, but all the young men gained valuable experience and had a great time.
   The coaches decided to honor the player they felt gave the best effort. Not the the most talented or highest scorer, but the hardest working student-athlete. The choice was Eddy Jeong AKA "Cheeseburger", and since he is the first recipient of  an award that is hoped to be given after every tournament, it is hereby known as the Cheeseburger Award. No silly trophy or plaque for our men, only a triple cheeseburger from Johnny's Burgers (conveniently located adjacent to the L.E. building) will do

Hong Kong Weekend–Sunday

We went to see the ponies run at the Shatin racecourse. I broke even.

Hong Kong Weekend–Saturday

Saturday night we spent at a hotel on Lamma Island. This was the beach in front of the place- very pretty except for the power station in the background.

Hong Kong Weekend–Friday

We watched a Women’s rugby (7 a side) tournament and there were ten teams from around the world. Here the U.S. team (in white) and Canada get ready to take the field. Canada won this match.
